You will be provided a tour and have the opportunity to meet our team of professional Instructors that will guide you through your course.
Your visit will include a personal interview with our admission representative. During the interview, the courses relative to the applicant’s career preferences and individual motivation will be discussed. Parents and spouses are encouraged to attend. This gives applicants and their families an opportunity to see the school’s facilities and to ask questions relating to the academy’s curriculum and career objectives. Students should apply for admission as soon as possible in order to insure the starting date that they desire.
Once your personal interview has been conducted you will be provided with a tour of the facility. During the tour, you can be introduced to our instructors and if desired be able to sit in the classroom to observe our instructors in motion.
Our team also consists of Financial Aid representatives that will provide you with individual financial planning for your tuition needs. We partner with a number of financial aid programs to provide you with as many options as possible.
Eligible students are those who have a high school diploma or General Educational Diploma (GED) Certificate. The Academy will verify the authenticity of the diploma prior to enrollment. If the diploma cannot be verified, the student may be asked to provide a final high school transcript showing the dates of entrance and graduation and the courses completed. If a transcript is not available, the student will be required to meet the ability to benefit (ATB) requirements or take and pass a GED test prior to enrollment. In addition to those students enrolling under the ability to benefit testing, all prospective enrollees must take and pass an entrance exam prior to class start.
Prospective students who are beyond the age of compulsory attendance in the state of California (18 years of age), have a minimum 10th grade education, and have the ability to benefit from the training may also qualify for admission to the Academy. The ability to benefit from the training will be determined by taking and passing an entrance examination (ATB Test), a personal interview, and any other criteria that might be appropriate on an individual basis. Students may also establish ability to benefit by enrolling in the Academy on a prepaid cash basis and completing, or transferring in, 225 clock hours in their selected program. When 225 clock hours have been satisfactorily completed, the student may be eligible for Financial Aid.
Only students 16 years of age holding High School Diplomas or General Education Diploma (GED) Certificates will be admitted. The Academy will verify the authenticity of the diploma prior to enrollment. If the diploma cannot be verified, the student may be asked to provide a final high school transcript showing the dates of entrance and graduation and the courses completed. If a transcript is not available, the student will be required to take and pass a GED test prior to enrollment. All prospective enrollees must take and pass an entrance exam prior to class start. Students must have attained the age of 17 before applying to take the Kansas Cosmetology Examination. Each applicant must have a current driver’s license or I.D. and Social Security number.
