What Kind of Advanced Cosmetology Program Does Bellus Academy Offer?
Bellus Academy’s Advanced Cosmetology program is an extensive training program that requires a minimum of 1500 hours of training. The program has been designed to elevate each student’s technical ability, creativity, and business confidence. Building on foundational skills, this program introduces advanced theory and practical training in areas such as client-centered design, salon ownership, and contemporary cut and color techniques.
The Advanced Cosmetology program provides hands-on classroom education in advanced signature haircutting, hair coloring, hair extensions, facials, brow shaping, and hair removal. Students learn to perform core services such as eyelash extensions, lash lifts, basic make-up, manicures, pedicures, and nail enhancements. Over the course of the 10-month* program, students gain specialized experience in hair extensions using Dream Catchers Systems and advanced eyelash extension methods with Borboleta. All Advanced Cosmetology students have the opportunity to refine the skills learned in the classroom with hands-on practice in the Bellus Academy student salon, and eligible students receive externships in professional salons.
Bellus Academy also offers business training that fosters an entrepreneurial mindset. In order to prepare our graduates to succeed in the beauty and cosmetology industry, students receive comprehensive online marketing, branding, retailing, client retention training, as well as financial management and literacy training through Qnity’s Money Pro curriculum. Upon completion of the Advanced Cosmetology program, graduates are fully equipped to succeed in today’s competitive beauty industry as innovative, business-savvy professionals.
