An esthetician (aesthetician) is a licensed skincare professional who helps keep your skin healthy and looking its best. Estheticians perform treatments including facials, waxing, and exfoliation, and give advice on skincare products and routines. Estheticians also provide clients with support for conditions such as acne or dry skin, but they don’t treat medical skin conditions.

Esthetics
Esthetics – 600 hours – California only – El Cajon, Poway, and Chula Vista
The Esthetics program, offered at all three California campuses, provides students with the essential foundational skills needed to be prepared for state licensure. The Esthetics program covers essential topics, including skincare analysis of various skin types and conditions, facial treatments, hair removal techniques, and makeup application. Students also develop critical customer service skills and learn fundamental business knowledge. Upon completion of the program, graduates will receive a diploma and will be prepared to take the State Esthetician licensing exam.
Esthetics – 1000 hours – Kansas only – Manhattan, Kansas
Similar to the California program, the Esthetics program at the Manhattan, KS, campus provides students with the fundamental skills needed for careers as estheticians. The Esthetics program teaches the essential skills to perform facials, hair removal, and makeup application, and the curriculum covers various skincare techniques, including chemical exfoliation, microdermabrasion, and more. Students also learn the business side of the industry, including retailing, sales techniques, and financial management. Upon completion of the program, graduates will receive a diploma and will be prepared to take the State Esthetician licensing exam.
Advanced Esthetics
Esthetics 102 – 1150 hours – Kansas only – Manhattan, Kansas
Also offered at the Manhattan, Kansas location, Esthetics 102 is an advanced course which builds on the Esthetics program with an additional 150 hours of specialized training in Make-up Artistry. Under professional instruction, students learn the advanced skills to perform makeup looks ranging from bridal and theatrical to airbrush techniques. In partnership with the internationally-acclaimed brand Make-up Designory (MUD), students are equipped with a professional MUD branded kit, empowering them to develop the advanced skills that will help them stand out in the industry. Upon completion of the program, graduates will receive a MUD certificate in addition to their certificate, and will be prepared to take the State Esthetician licensing exam.
Esthetics 103 – 900 hours – California only – El Cajon, Poway, and Chula Vista
The Esthetics 103 program, offered at the California campuses, provides students with an additional 300 hours of specialized training that builds on the foundational knowledge obtained in the Esthetics program. This advanced program offers students specialized training in advanced procedures and luxury spa techniques, including essential skills in advanced peel applications, mechanical exfoliation methods, thorough analysis of damaged skin, and the latest innovative skincare approaches crucial for employment in upscale luxury spas. Under the supervision of passionate and experienced instructors, students learn to utilize various types and equipment in order to perform eyelash extensions, brow shaping, luxury spa body treatments, and aromatherapy. Students also learn to execute services such as ultrasonic facials, LED light therapy, micro-current applications, hydra dermabrasion, oncology esthetics, lymphatic drainage facial massage, chemical peels, and dermaplaning treatments. Upon completion of the program, graduates will receive a diploma and will be prepared to take the State Esthetician licensing exam.
