Our Advanced Cosmetology Program
The Advanced Cosmetology program provides a solid foundation in beauty and business. This program is designed to enhance your technical ability, creativity, and business confidence by building on foundational skills with advanced skills training. The Advanced Cosmetology program provides advanced theoretical instruction and practical training in topics including:
- Advanced haircutting and coloring methods that mix creativity and precision
- Hair extensions using Dream Catchers Systems: K-tips, I-tips, tape-ins, and wefts, resulting in professional certification
- Eyelash extension Borboleta Classic + Volume comprehensive training program that helps students learn both foundational and advanced lashing techniques, resulting in professional certification
- Client-centered service, aimed at considering client preferences while thinking and creating as a beauty professional
- Business topics like effective retailing, goal setting, owning and operating a salon, and more
- Financial literacy and skills through Qnity’s Money Pro program, featuring in-depth lessons on money mindset, borrowing money, taxes, money planning, and money success
- Externship opportunities at professional salons for eligible students
This program also includes hands-on training in our supervised Student Salon and Spa, where students can hone their skills with real clients under the supervision of licensed instructors. The Advanced Cosmetology program gives graduates a strong foundation in beauty and business.

- Day schedule (10 months): Monday – Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Night schedule (15 months): Monday – Friday: 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Advanced Cosmetology vs. Cosmetology Foundation
The Cosmetology Foundation program is designed to teach the essential skills you need to get licensed as a cosmetologist. The Cosmetology Foundation program offers a well-rounded beauty education, covering the essential skills and techniques needed for the beauty industry through classroom instruction as well as hands-on training in the Bellus Academy Student Salon & Spa.
