Speak With a Financial Aid Rep
After meeting with the admissions department and choosing the program that will help you find success in your career, it’s time for a meeting with a financial aid representative. Whether you’re looking to enroll at one of our CA campuses or our Manhattan, KS campus, our knowledgeable representatives are dedicated to helping you get the financial assistance you need.
There are several ways to get the process started. If you want as much information as possible and to talk through the available options, set up a meeting with a member of our financial aid department. Alternatively, you can apply for aid online from home. Of course, if you have any questions or concerns, you can reach out at any time for more details.
What do I need to fill out the FAFSA?
What Kind of Aid is Available?
Beauty school financial aid comes in many forms. Qualified students may receive federal or state loans, as well as funding from a private agency such as Sallie Mae. Most students will receive a combination package, which includes funding from multiple sources. Speak with a financial aid representative to learn which options make the most sense for you and your goals.
Filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the best way to determine which types of aid you’re eligible for. You can fill out the form on our website to learn more about federal loans, including subsidized and unsubsidized options. Subsidized means the government will pay the interest while you’re still attending classes, while unsubsidized loans are used for extra educational expenses and let you add interest to your principal balance once repayment begins.
Federal Pell Grants are another option to ask about. Unlike loans, these grants do not require repayment so long as their conditions are met and can provide more than $5,000 per academic year in additional assistance. A Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG) may provide support for those with exceptional financial need as well with no need for repayment.
Remember, never pay to receive information about scholarships.

Bellus Academy also offers scholarship opportunities for qualified students. These include scholarships for high school graduates, previous Bellus Academy graduates, and members of the military. Other military benefits include the G.I. Bill and MyCAA, which also offer financial assistance for military spouses.
Tuition Flex is another helpful resource for those in need. This program allows students to customize a repayment schedule through Education Loan Source. You can spread out payments over time, and in some cases, interest may not be included.
